Project 9 (Harmonize Standards Publication)
Who: X12What:There are several components to publishing the standards. There is the textual description and there are the machine readable formats. Furthermore, in addition to the base standards, there are individual company interpretation of subsets of the standard. (Templates, companion guides, implementation guides, etc.) Given that the standards are quite similar in structure, it might be feasible to design both a human readable format and a machine readable format for both the standards and the constrained subsets. As with the first project, this project consists of several smaller projects.
- Analysis of current procedures and formats.
- Examine the infrastructure of each organization and to determine how to house the standards for publication.
- Assess the needs of the community to house and publish their templates / implementation guides / companion guides.
- Design the new formats.
- Publish the standards in the new formats. Publish the companion guides and templates.
